I climbed over this snake which was sunning among the leaf litter. I slipped and fell back downslope and apparently upset the snake. It disappeared down a hole under the leaves before I could get my camera out for a photo, but it was a very good-sized snake. Ground temperature is that of the leaf litter; spot reading taken on site.
