Oh, I'm not doubting it's a Fowler's - I've just never heard one hold a call for that long.
Agreed. But it was the toad in the photo and it is playing at the recorded speed.
I put up a longer recording and you can see that he shortened his call with each call from the first one being 4 seconds, the next call is 3.2 seconds, then 2.8 seconds, then he set up a rate of 2.4 secs for the remaining calls.
First Fowler's I've recorded so I can't comment about it intelligently.
That's a really long call for a Fowler's Toad! Unless you slowed down the audio or something.
