Yeah, it sucks, Jeff. I think most people probably try to avoid turtles, though. Ironically, and unfortunately, I found a DOR desert tortoise on the 10 by Quartzite a few hours after you left this response.
Saddest herps to see DOR are Torts & Turts if you ask me...bummer.
