really bummed. found along curb. First rosy boa I have seen in the wild and it had to be dead. Really, really bummed. So sorry.
Consensus is this was a pet do to the location.

Paul, I search Kern for boas (which yours appears to be) and would like to talk with you. Can you please e-mail me your number at [email protected]? I'm trying to figure out where in L.A. County you found it. Thanks, John Lauermann/ricrabt
You can leave it, but I would edit it and add a note that it is probably an escaped pet. It's no different than all the other "non-natives" we document in the database...oh, and also add the subspecies name "gracia" after trivirgata.
Should I remove the siting or leave it????
Yeah, probably an escaped pet. Thart's what boas look like in the high desert, like around Joshua Tree or in Kern Co.
That is the snake. That is the location. I thought it was pretty weird. There are homes across the street. Really sad.
I bet it was someone’s pet.
.
I really hate finding any snake DOR but somehow it seems worse when it is a rosy...I hear ya...
