Notes
Rocky desert slot canyon, located at north end of Fossil Canyon, north of Ocotillo, CA, in Imperial County.
The lizard did not move but watched us and was alive. We took a few pictures and then left the area.
It seems to have been sighted a bit outside the normal range, in Imperial County.
Comments
Very interesting find Bruce! I have been to that area a few times and didn't think it looked good for collared lizards. And they shouldn't be out in January. Wonder what happened?
