Large adult Red Diamond found while teaching a field trip. I almost stepped on it, but it gave me a quick rattle warning and I was able to step back and allow the kids in my group to observe the animal for about 5 minutes before we had to move on. I forgot to get a photo of the snake while it was present, but managed to get a photos of the track it left behind.
