Biggest Batrachoseps I've ever seen. 2.25" sn-vt and 5.25" total. My index finger is 3.5" long (I'm a large guy) for comparison.
Had rained about 20 minutes earlier. A large snail was sitting on the salamander when flipped - incidental contact, I think.
