Notes

I was out on a morning kayak and was paddling along the shore. I noticed a few cypress knees protruding and one that was most definitely not a root. An absolutely enormous white head. I paddled closer and I got within 10 feet of it when it started slowly going down. My camera was in a bag and I fumbled to get it out as I was saying some choice words. I managed to only get a horrible shot of it's snout going downward. The water on the river has been so murky lately that I looked and looked and couldn't see the big girl down there. Moral of the story, always have the camera ready. The picture here is bad, but you can still see the snout in the center of the picture. Still exciting to see, it's been a couple of years since my last one.
