Notes
After finding a few Red-backs and Allegheny Mountain Duskies, I turned up what I thought, at first, was merely another Red-back in lead back form on the summit. However, upon closer examination, I realized that this salamander had a nearly uniform dark underside and gold flecking on the head and back, the characteristics of a Cheat Mountain Salamander. The film was a little better than the pictures are.
