Notes
Three were detected at night with aid of flashlight by carefully examining moss-covered cliff in waterfall spray zone. Locality represents an increase of previously known elevation distribution and reveals that in proper habitat this species is capable of existing higher on mountains than ordinary natural history documents acknowledge. One in particular was large: SVL 95 mm (3¾ in.), TL 185 mm (7¼ in.). Note: This specimen was discovered in 1992, and due to inexperience with photographing animals at night, this animal was collect and photographed in daylight. Additionally, the specimen was moved to lower elevation and photographed in backdrop of oak vegetation.
