I suspect this is actually Rana boylii - it would be pretty far out of range to be Rana sierrae and also, the elevation seems low for Rana sierrae but not for Rana boylii.

Awesome find! In Mendocino county this would probably be a Foothill Yellow-legged Frog, Rana boylii. If you could edit this that would be great. Thanks!
