I was not present, tragically, for this sighting, but I am submitting it on behalf of Megan Segal and Sydney Menges, who saw the turtle during a Great White Shark viewing trip that Megan was captaining for Santa Cruz Whale Watch. They don't contribute to the database, but agreed this is an important sighting that should be included here. Photographs are by Sydney Menges. Megan is a friend and reliable witness, which is why I am submitting a secondhand report, which I would ordinarily not do.
