Notes
Discovered dying under rock; I spotted a stone with a basking Fence Lizard atop, as I approached the rock that lizard ran off so I decided to flip tha rock and beneath it was a dying Fence Lizard. The lizard had a small, bleeding puncture wound at base of tail near thigh. Perhaps rattlesnake strike? After quick photo shoot, lizard was set down and left for dead. *Hot temperature and no rattlesnake spotted. Following day, it was indeed found dead at point of release.
