Notes
Saw pieces of snake skin just off trail. Stepped off and picked up trying to identify, and saw more complete piece nearby. Stepped towards it and backed off when this little guy was seen at the end of the skin. Tried to move aside some vegetation to get a better pick, but snake disappeared into a hole in the ground, tail rattling.
