Notes

****Border of Santa Cruz/San Mateo County. Officially Santa Cruz Co. Still a county record, but not as cool....****

County record, baby!

Snake was found under a rock on rock situation near an outcropping. It was wedged between a rock, another rock, and a small hole.

Existing records of Hypsiglena in San Mateo County are in the California Academy of Sciences Herp database. Three records are from 1953 and the GPS provided shows that it is inland (east of HWY 280).

This particular snake was found much, much further west.
