Concrete flood control ditch, coastal scrub-sage above where the animals fall in from. Snakes die a lot in here, as if not rescued out the sun kills them. Had a few species today that fell to this fate. This species seems to be the most frequently encountered snake here. Luckily some are still alive, this one I could not get out though, both times-(up and down) it had its head out like this in the pic, but wuld retreat as I would try to get it out. I see lizards run into these cracks as ell, so food is probably not an issue.

No prob, Brian. I was going to put trapped, but figured that was set aside for actual trapping you did yourself. I'll try to go through the other ones and change them, I have some going back years though from here as well. Ones found under rocks in his wash I have put in under rock flipping or debris lifting...
