Yes, you're right. That second pic shows it's definitely a talpodideum. The Lackawanna County, PA thing threw me for a loop. These guys obviously don't get that far north. Good find!

This was taken in Sc other day, was told it was a mole salamander

This is a Jefferson Salamander, which is a member of the "Mole Salamander" group.
