I was able to photograph an abnormally large garter snake while it was basking on the asphalt pathway. I believe it was a Giant Garter due to its size, its banding pattern, and the fact it was found near an EID lift station which could facilitate the semi-aquatic habitat it Prefers. It is also important to note that it rained heavily the night before which may have encouraged its emergence. I will have to continue to look in this area for more evidence of species presence.
