First rain in the area after over 100 days. Went out just after dark to cruise a road in ideal habitat, just when I thought I was going to fail, I spotted this little Cal King in the middle of the road. Shortly after this king, I got a rattlesnake alongside an adjacent busy highway. Air temp was a cool 60F.
