At the same site where Bethany recorded a single Dark-sided from the daytime on this balmy winter day, we returned at night to try our luck shining around the springhead, and found six more adult Dark-sided salamanders, three of which are pictured below. They were all clustered together within a few square feet at the opening of this tiny cave.
