Notes
3 dusky salamanders found within the same area of creek. 2 adults and a juvenile; each individual had a vastly different color and pattern. The adults were quite large and very active. One adult came from vegetation into the creek bed, the other adult was buried in silt/pebbles, actively hunting, and the juvenile was very small and curled up in wet pebbles surrounded by rocks. The water was clean and calm, and the sky was clear and sunny with moderate humidity. The creek was within a forested area with tree coverage and leaf decay.
