Notes
Was in open area in front lawn- noticed the snake when a western scrub jay attempted to grab it and the snake bit at the bird. The snake retreated to under a bush and was very aggressive (as such, I was unable to coax it out to get a picture). Approx. 2.5 feet long, distinct red markings on side.
