Notes
Two larval giants were flipped under adjacent rocks in a small calm part of fast-moving stream. The one pictured is about 4" long, while an unvouchered one was slightly shorter, skinnier, and lighter in color. Adpressed limbs were 1-2 costal grooves from touching. Could possibly be hybrid with D. copei. A larval torrent salamander was also seen in the same spot.
A third larval giant, which appeared morphologically closer to D. copei, was also found in the same area.
