This poor newt was pushing his way up the current, just a couple feet from a 20+ foot fall. When he saw me he spooked and tried to swim, barely keeping up with the current, so I helped him out.
Several blackbelly slenders and newts seen on the day. All the blackbelly slenders were under logs, all the newts were on the crawl.
