Thanks for the reply. I actually found a black-eyed neonate last season, and the same one as a yearling a few days ago. I guess that individual is producing.
I was with someone who was familiar with the one of the well-known black-eyed individuals at this site and I believe he ID'd it as the same one that had been found several times previously.
Do you remember if this particular snake was a male or female? Just wondering because it has black eyes (judging by the photo) and a few with black eyes have been have at this "spot" and trying to figure out if there was a population of these odd ones.
