I would trust Sam's ID - I didn't even look at the picture, I was just trying to clarify accounts that had missing subspecies.
Well in my defense Mr Sam sir.. :) It is a poor picture.. LOL.. Thanks for setting the record straight..
Hey guys, this is a Baja Collared Lizard (Crotaphytus vestigium), not a Leopard Lizard. Characters that give it away include: yellow dorsum, typical barring on dorsum, solid white tail (no spots) and what appears to be a solid white (cream) head.
I'm sorry - disregard that, the subspecies is no longer recognized.
Subspecies should be wislizenii wislizenii.
sorry about that... my daughter was going off what looked closer to it by the california herps site... she was kinda close.
fixed.
Thanks Fundad... were trying to put in as much data as possible.
Whoah! Looks more like a Baja Collared, don't you think?
Its Awesome your entering DOR's.. :) Thanks..
This is a Gambelia wislizenii - Long-nosed Leopard Lizard. Bluntnose occur in central California..
