This is possibly the first record for this species in this county and extends the species range west and north from previously known records.
I never saw the frog because they were in dense flooded vegetation. There were at least 2 frogs calling. The photo is of the spot where the frog was calling from.
It had rained 10+ inches in the previous 36 hours due to Hurricane Alex.
At this spot observed and recorded the following anurans:
Ollotis nebulifer (TMTC) - calling
Anaxyrus speciosus (~10) - AOR
Anaxyrus debilis (1 metamorph) - AOR
Gastrophryne olivacea (TMTC) - calling and AOR
Hypophachus variolosus (2+) - calling)
Lithobates berlandieri (~10) - calling and AOR
Scaphiopus couchii (1 metamorph) - AOR
