back to the park for a bbq, walked the lake and saw 14 of these. Got photos of 2. the walk around the whole lake is like 1/2 a mile. The majority were found in reeds growing at the edge of the lake. 2 appeared to be gravid (photo'd one of these)

I should note that the lake is heavily stocked with fish for families to go fishing with; I expect this explains the amazingly heavy population of nerodia and turtles.
