Numerous newts seen in pond, only one photographed.
Sex determined by bulbous vent.
Identification of photographed newt by color under eye (dark opposed to light).
First photo is in situ.
Hands were washed with alcohol wipe after handling to prevent me being a possible amphibian disease vector (preventative, no indication it was diseased).
