Snake was found dead, stretched out perfectly straight, and belly up. Although it had been dead for probably > 24 hours (as evinced by a greenish gall bladder stain on its venter), it bore no obvious signs of trauma nor blood loss; even the ubiquitous fire ants had not yet found it.
