Notes
When I first encountered this snake coiled on the road, it behaved relatively normally (rattled, flattened its body, etc). While photographing it and moving it off the road, it became apparent that the snake's head had been run over just prior to me finding it, and its condition began to deteriorate quickly. It would writhe around in a disoriented manner when prodded and wouldn't right itself when flipped onto its back. It was released off the side of the road.
