That's exactly what it is. I found him chomping down on it and it looked like he couldn't get it down or even throw it up because he was stuck on the barbs. I helped him get it out and I let him go hoping he wouldn't do it again. Let's hope he went for some frogs instead, lol.
Awesome find... Any idea what kind of fish that is? The apparent lack of scales is making me think it's one of the invasive catfish.
