You're right, Nate.
I think I was focused how mobile it was with the bum leg, and how its parotoid glands butted up against the cranial crests! I think the latter is probably because it was young.

Bill, this is an American Toad (large warts on hind legs are tipped with a spine, few/small dorsal spots)
