The animals don't need the boards to survive, they still be there. They just won't use them.
Yeah, it's sad to see that place go downhill. The last time a buddy of mine visited he said the entire place was flipped upside down. Tragedy of the commons, I suppose. I wonder how much longer some of those snakes are going to hang around. Nice to hear that they're still pumping out babies.
Thanks for the information, Sam. Yeah, I've noticed the place is sometimes in disarray here and there, with boards not being placed back and some even destroyed. I have recently found a litter of 3 babies there..all YoY.
Not the famous Boa spot. This line is on private property, thankfully.
Zach - Boas will show up under boards at the spot you're familiar with every month of the year under the right conditions. Warm days in December and January are prime. If you're not seeing them as of late it could be due to the fact that the place is getting pounded nowadays.
Yeah, I guess they do! Funny, I've only found them under boards when it has been pretty hot...about 80F on the boards!
LOL Zach, Rubber boas don't get chilly.. :) They like it cold
just wondering cuz its been getting chilly in the Bay Area and haven't seen one in awhile. Very nice find. Under a board or natural setting?
No, I don't even know where the well known spot is..LOL It was at a place Sam Murray and I had never been too.
Nice find. Was this at the well known spot?
