Thank you.

I take absolutely no offense and appreciate your double-checking (I did make a mistake on my first set of submissions). I really enjoy sharing this kind of information and possibly err on the side of too open.

All the very best,
RJ

RJ, I am obviously not concerned with this particular record. I brought it up because some people don't know what to fill in for locale so they put it in the comments. This was my attempt to politely determine if you are filling out the report form correctly.

I certainly understand hiding the location for rarer species or personal favorite locals, but is it important to keep the location hidden for common species (Western Fence Lizard...) or those in very public areas? I'm assuming the main concern is collectors. Is the proplem that bad? I'm just seeking some advice between the desire to share and the need for secrecy among a group of presumably conservation minded individuals.

Any insights are certainly appreciated.
Cheers!

Stow Lake is a well known, very public area. You can actually rent paddle boats and cruise around. Doubt the turtles will have any problem. Just my two cents being an SF resident.

Some of the information provided in the "Notes" is what should go under "Locale" in the report form. That way location is hidden from the public.
