yeah, I have really been getting into field herping lately and by posting on here it gives even more purpose, and the name changing is a bit crazy.
Thank you sir, please due make a note in the notes field that you saw others. I think it helps. But in 10 years of being the frontlines in dealing with wildlife agencies, they ONLY considered proof. I learned this the hard way. In fact, Joseph this very conversation is what started NAFHA.. :) Hard to keep up with the name changes though huh? LOL Its a pain to find the new names LOL
Allright, I wasn't aware that that had been decided, I will change them now. Thanks for letting me know. :)
Hi Joseph, We at NAFHA voted for this already. Here are several of the reasons; We want to be a reputable organization much like a museum would be, and therefore want the count to represent what was vouchered. We also fell like it will encourage more vouchers. Along with doing a count at the end of every year in our NAFHA herp count of vouchered herps. If people are not able to get a voucher we encourge everyone to put in the notes field the other unvouchered herps they saw. Thanks for your understanding.
Nate: Thanks, I figured they had been reclassified, just couldn't find the name
Brian: I post what I see as long as I have at least one voucher or pic of proof, these guys, as you know, are pretty quick so I only have 1 pic, and I saw at least 3. Point of this site, at least from what I understand, is to gain a collective knowledge and a better understanding of what herpers have actually encountered. I have posted in the past and will continue, and I will always post the number I have seen so as to contribute to knowledge of population size, even if I don't have a pic for every specimen witnessed.
And please change the qty to 1 as that is all that is vouchered here. You could of course add the other two pictures.. :o)
