Notes
We actually saw another specimen, slightly smaller than the first, at the same spot, but couldn't get a picture before it disappeared.
The spot where we found these two specimen - both juveniles - is about 100 feet away from the spot where we found all of our other coastal horned toads that have been entered in this database (summer 2010).
We take this to mean that the population in this area is growing, which is encouraging. Our neighbor has also seen in them in at least one other area farther up the hill.
