Notes
I encountered a large, adult Texas Gartersnake while searching for my ball along a creekbank. I can provide the specific hole/area if needed. It was sitting still and did not slither away as I approached. I declined to make my playing partners aware of the snake in case someone would feel compelled to kill it. I did not take a picure specifically because I wanted to make sure the snake was unharrassed and attention would not be brought to it. The weather conditionas were unique that day: it was one of those days that started out warm and calm but within a few hourse high winds, rain, and hail came through. I encountered the snake as the weather was turning for the worse.
