This specimen was found when I flipped a mattress in a field. It was found beside a rough earth snake. This is the ONLY ringneck snake I have ever found in the DFW area. For those unfamiliar with the DFW herpetofauna, these are not common in these parts as they are in other parts of the country. This area has since been developed and used to yield numerous species of reptiles and amphibians.
