It seems like all the GB gophers we encountered up there over the years were really pissy, aggressive snakes right off the bat and it has not been the norm in my experience with other Pituophis from other states including other deserticola.
WOW that snake sure is mimicing the Northern Pacific Rattlesnakes from up there.. Interesting..
