Brad, If it was a 2 year adult it might grow another 25%! In CO 20 inches is about the max. I don't measure anymore since I got tagged. I scratch marks on the pavement with my stick near the nose and tail and then add a little, depending on how 'strait it is stretched' (how that for a Yogi Berraism?)

Hi John, I listed it as an adult but by the rattle I would guess a 2 year snake, albeit I'm not the best judge. Didn't attempt measurement but by recollection it was probably around 20-22 inches.

Nice find. Do you remember how large it was? It looks somewhat larger than our Colorado specimens
