Yeah, it was cool at 9:00AM at 2000 ft. I found a younger one about 3 feet from this one. The rock was maybe 8" across... the coiled snake just fit. When they're cold, you can carry them to better looking rocks for a photo then and get nothing more than a tongue flick out of them.
What a cold morning to find such a nice snake. I imagine it was probably under a board or a rock. Love the reddish color on that guy! (almost as much as the greenish color on the snake Fundad recently posted)
