This appeared to be a different, slightly smaller individual than the gophersnake found under this same board 04/29/11. Ground temperatures measured as follows. Temp under board by snake = 76. Temp at mouth of burrow under board where snake exited = 68. Temp on top of board in full sun = 106. Located in the San Diego - Great Basin - Pacific Gophersnake intergrade zone.
