Notes
Rusty. Snake was observed out on the crawl. Only minutes later it began tongue flicking around an area of open rock and then assumed an ambush coil there. It was interesting to watch the snake sort of shuffle it's body into the loose soil and rocks. This location is 26 meters south of the snake's winter den and 81 meters north of the Neotoma nest where I last observed him on 5/15/2011.
