No photo voucher. Animal was clearly a Coastal Patchnose Snake. It is the first one I have encountered in Orange County.

I have seen what I believed to be a Coast Patchnose in Orange County as well, but didn't get a good enough look to be 100% confident. They're there, but they're not often seen.
